Heat Pump Outdoor Fan Motor Replacement Cost in Vancouver

Signs of Fan Motor Failure
The outdoor fan does not spin when the unit runs, the fan makes a grinding or screeching noise, the fan spins slowly or intermittently, the motor hums but the fan does not turn, or the unit short-cycles on high-pressure switch (fan not cooling the coil).
Why Immediate Replacement Matters
A failed fan motor prevents the outdoor coil from rejecting heat (cooling mode) or absorbing heat (heating mode). The system builds up high pressure and can damage the compressor. Turn off the system immediately if the fan is not spinning and call for service.
Replacement Cost
Fan motor replacement costs $400-800 including the motor ($150-350) and labour ($200-400). Some motors come with the fan blade assembly. Condenser fan motors are standard for many brands. Our technicians carry common fan motors for same-day replacement.
