Signs of Pilot Assembly Failure
The pilot flame is weak or yellow, the pilot will not stay lit despite a new thermocouple, the pilot assembly shows visible corrosion or damage, the pilot flame does not reach the thermocouple tip, or the pilot orifice is clogged and cannot be cleaned. A failing pilot assembly causes intermittent heating or no heat.
